How often should I change my string?
When it goes grey and fuzzy, or sooner if you are practising daily. Most players change it every week or two.
What are response pads for?
They sit inside the yoyo and grip the string on a bind. When binds start slipping, the pads are worn.
Do I need a different bearing?
Only to switch between responsive and unresponsive play, or to replace one that has gone noisy.
Which case do I need?
The small case holds one yoyo. The hard case holds a set and is the one to take to a contest.
