Full Terms
Effective 1 September 2026. These Terms apply to OFFSET Care sold by OFFSET YOYO PTY LTD, ABN 33 654 989 901.
1. What OFFSET Care is
OFFSET Care is a paid repair and replacement service for eligible OFFSET yo-yos.
If a covered yo-yo is accidentally damaged during its Care period, you can ask us for service. If approved, we repair or replace the yo-yo and you pay the replacement fee saved with the Care order. OFFSET decides whether the yo-yo is repaired or replaced. The replacement fee is the same either way.
Care also includes the bearing replacement service in section 8.
Care does not cover theft or loss and does not pay cash based on the value of accidental damage.
2. Buying Care
2.1 Adding Care when you order
You can add Care to an eligible yo-yo where the option appears on the OFFSET store. Care is optional.
2.2 Adding Care after delivery
You can ask to add Care within 60 days of the yo-yo’s original delivery date.
Before approval, we may ask for your order number, current photos, a short spin video and other reasonable information to confirm the yo-yo is not already damaged.
We can refuse late enrolment if damage already exists or we cannot reasonably confirm the yo-yo’s condition.
Adding Care later does not extend the end date. Care still ends one year after the original delivery date.
3. What is covered by each Care plan
Each individual Care plan is attached to one specific eligible OFFSET yo-yo shown in our order records.
You can perform normal maintenance using compatible string, response pads, bearings and axles. Normal maintenance does not cancel Care.
Damage caused by incompatible parts, incorrect installation, machining, drilling, re-anodising or another structural modification is not covered.
4. Multiple yo-yos and bundles
4.1 Two or more separately purchased yo-yos
Each yo-yo needs its own Care plan. If you buy two eligible yo-yos and want Care on both, you must buy two Care plans.
4.2 Bundles containing more than one yo-yo
When OFFSET offers Care on a bundle containing several yo-yos, a separate Care plan is charged for each yo-yo in the bundle. Each plan is priced on that yo-yo's normal single price, not on any bundle discount, and the plans are added together.
Each yo-yo inside the bundle receives its own Care coverage and its own service limits. The limits are not pooled across the bundle.
For example, if a bundle contains three covered yo-yos, all three yo-yos can each receive:
- approved repairs during their Care period;
- the bearing replacement service where eligible; and
- up to two approved yo-yo replacements.
Using a repair or replacement on one yo-yo does not use the repair or replacement allowance of another covered yo-yo in the same bundle.
5. Care period
Care starts on the original delivery date of the covered yo-yo and ends one year later.
- Adding Care after delivery does not extend the end date.
- A repair does not extend the end date.
- A replacement does not extend the end date.
- Care does not renew automatically.
6. Accidental damage covered
Care covers unexpected, unintentional physical damage to the covered yo-yo when that damage creates a real playing, assembly or structural problem.
Examples include:
- a drop or hit that causes new abnormal vibe;
- accidentally stripped axle or body threads;
- a cracked, chipped, broken or split half;
- accidental damage during competition; and
- another covered accident that stops the yo-yo assembling or playing properly.
We may need to inspect the yo-yo before deciding whether the damage is covered.
7. Reporting an accident
You must contact OFFSET within 30 days of the accident.
The accident itself must happen while Care is active. If the accident happens near the end of the Care period, you still have 30 days from the accident to report it even if the Care end date passes during that reporting period.
We may refuse a claim reported outside this period unless applicable law requires otherwise or we decide there is a reasonable basis to accept it.
8. Bearing replacement service
If the original bearing supplied with the covered yo-yo, or a replacement bearing later supplied by OFFSET, locks up completely and still does not spin at all after normal cleaning, you can request bearing replacement service.
An approved bearing replacement has no replacement fee. OFFSET also pays standard shipping for the replacement bearing.
Before approving the replacement, we may ask you to:
- clean the bearing using normal yo-yo bearing-cleaning steps;
- send a short video showing that the bearing does not spin;
- answer reasonable questions about what happened; and
- return the bearing if OFFSET asks you to do so.
This benefit does not apply to:
- a bearing that still spins but is noisy, dirty or needs normal maintenance;
- damage caused by incorrect cleaning, incompatible chemicals or tools;
- normal problems that can be fixed through ordinary cleaning or maintenance; or
- a third-party bearing that OFFSET did not supply.
Each request is assessed separately. OFFSET may refuse repeated requests where the evidence reasonably shows misuse, excluded damage, improper maintenance or another problem that is not eligible for bearing replacement service.
9. What is not covered
- Cosmetic damage only: scratches, scuffs, finish wear and marks that do not create a playing or structural problem.
- Normal consumable wear: worn string, worn response pads and ordinary maintenance outside the specific bearing service in section 8.
- Loss or theft.
- Intentional damage: damage caused on purpose to obtain a repair, replacement, refund, credit or other benefit.
- Existing damage: damage that existed before Care started or before late Care enrolment was approved.
- Damage caused by modification: including machining, drilling, re-anodising, incompatible parts or improper structural changes.
- Damage caused by third-party repair or machining.
- Manufacturing defects: these are handled under the free OFFSET warranty and applicable consumer rights, not as a paid accidental-damage Care service.
10. Repair or replacement
After reviewing the claim and inspecting the yo-yo where needed, OFFSET decides whether repair or replacement is appropriate.
10.1 Repair
If the damage can be repaired properly, we repair the yo-yo and return the same yo-yo. A repair may include tuning, axle replacement or other parts and work needed for the approved repair.
10.2 Replacement
If we cannot repair the covered damage properly, we replace the yo-yo.
10.3 Replacement when repair is possible
OFFSET decides whether an approved claim is handled as a repair or as a replacement. The same replacement fee applies either way.
11. Service limits
11.1 Repairs
There is no set numerical limit on approved repairs during the Care period. The replacement fee applies to each approved claim.
11.2 Replacements
Each covered yo-yo can receive a maximum of two approved yo-yo replacements during its Care period.
After the second replacement for that covered yo-yo, approved repair service can still be used for the time left on the plan, but no third yo-yo replacement is available for that covered yo-yo.
11.3 One accident causing several problems
If one accident causes several issues to the same covered yo-yo, we treat them as one claim. For example, if one drop causes a ding, new vibe and axle damage, we charge one replacement fee, whether we repair or replace the yo-yo.
12. Care price and replacement fees
The Care price and replacement fee shown when you buy Care are saved with your order. Later price changes do not change an existing plan.
| Yo-yo price | Care | Replacement fee | Bearing replacement |
|---|---|---|---|
| Under $50 USD | $6 USD | $8 USD | No fee |
| $50–99 USD | $12 USD | $15 USD | No fee |
| $100–149 USD | $19 USD | $22 USD | No fee |
| $150+ USD | $29 USD | $35 USD | No fee |
For a bundle containing more than one yo-yo, the Care price is the sum of the individual Care prices for every covered yo-yo in the bundle, each priced on that yo-yo's normal single price. Each yo-yo's replacement fee follows its own tier.
If an order confirmation shows a different Care tier or fee, the amount saved on that Care order applies.
13. Getting service
Email admin@offsetyoyo.com before sending a yo-yo or bearing anywhere.
We may ask for:
- your order number;
- a short explanation of what happened;
- the date the accident or problem occurred;
- clear photos of visible damage;
- a short video for vibe, sound or bearing problems; and
- other reasonable information needed to decide whether the problem is covered.
Sending evidence does not mean the claim has been approved.
14. Shipping
14.1 Wait for instructions
Do not ship anything until OFFSET approves the return and tells you where to send it.
14.2 Approved repair or yo-yo replacement returns
For an approved Care return, use the standard tracked postage method we approve, normally through your local post office. Pay the postage, keep the receipt and tracking number, and email us a clear copy of the receipt.
OFFSET refunds the approved postage cost after you provide the receipt. OFFSET pays standard shipping to send the repaired or replacement yo-yo back.
14.3 Bearing replacement shipping
Approved bearing replacements are sent with standard shipping paid by OFFSET.
14.4 Extra shipping costs
Express couriers, premium delivery, extra insurance or paid packaging are reimbursed only if OFFSET approves them before shipment or applicable law requires us to pay them.
15. Replacement yo-yos
15.1 Return of damaged yo-yo
Before OFFSET provides a yo-yo replacement, the damaged yo-yo must be returned to OFFSET unless we expressly tell you otherwise.
Once OFFSET provides the replacement, the returned damaged yo-yo becomes the property of OFFSET.
15.2 Replacement order
We use the following order where reasonably possible:
- same model and same colour;
- same model in another available colour; then
- if that model is discontinued or unavailable, another available OFFSET yo-yo of comparable retail value chosen with the customer.
15.3 Continued Care after replacement
When we replace the yo-yo:
- Care moves to the replacement yo-yo;
- the original Care end date stays the same;
- the replacement counts toward that covered yo-yo’s two-replacement limit; and
- the replacement does not start a new one-year Care period.
16. Manufacturing defects
If we confirm that the problem was caused by manufacturing, we do not treat it as a paid accidental-damage Care claim.
Confirmed manufacturing defects are handled under the free OFFSET warranty and any consumer rights that apply to your order.
You do not pay a Care replacement fee for a confirmed manufacturing defect.
If we initially charge a Care replacement fee and later determine that the same problem was a manufacturing defect, we refund that fee and move the case to the normal warranty process.
17. Cancelling OFFSET Care
17.1 Within 30 days of delivery
You can cancel Care within 30 days of the covered yo-yo’s delivery date. If you have not used Care, we refund the Care purchase price in full.
17.2 After 30 days
Where applicable law allows it, we calculate a refund based on the unused part of the Care period and may subtract the reasonable value of Care services already used.
If the value of services already used is equal to or greater than the refund otherwise due, there is no cancellation refund.
17.3 How to cancel
Email admin@offsetyoyo.com with your order number.
18. Transferring Care
You can transfer the remaining Care once if you sell or give the covered yo-yo to another person.
Email us the original order number and the new owner’s name and email.
The Care end date, previous repairs, replacement count and other existing limits do not reset when Care is transferred.
19. False claims and intentional damage
We can reject a request or cancel Care where we reasonably find that the plan is being used dishonestly.
This includes knowingly false information, deliberate damage, falsified evidence, duplicate claims for the same event, or trying to use Care for a different yo-yo.
We may ask reasonable questions when a claim is unclear. We do not expect you to remember every detail of a genuine accident.
20. International customers
Care is available only where OFFSET offers it and can provide the service.
Shipping methods and turnaround times vary by country. Follow the instructions provided when your claim is approved.
Mandatory consumer rights in your country still apply where they cannot legally be excluded.
OFFSET Care is sold as an optional Care plan and repair and replacement service. It does not cover theft or loss and does not pay cash based on the value of accidental damage.
21. Australian customers
OFFSET Care is optional and is provided in addition to rights under the Australian Consumer Law. You do not need to buy Care to receive a remedy you are already entitled to under that law.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
For major failures with the service, you are entitled to cancel your service contract with us and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You may also be entitled to compensation for other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
22. United States customers
OFFSET Care is an optional service contract that you buy separately from the yo-yo. It is not a warranty and it is not an insurance policy.
Buying Care does not replace, reduce or affect the free OFFSET warranty, and it does not affect any implied warranty or other right you have under United States federal or state law. Nothing in these Terms limits a right you cannot legally give up.
Care is available only in states where OFFSET is able to offer and service it. Some states set their own rules for service contracts, including rules about cancellation, refunds and how the provider must operate. Where a state rule differs from these Terms, the state rule applies to customers in that state.
You can cancel Care within 30 days of the covered yo-yo’s delivery date for a full refund if you have not used it. Some states give longer or different cancellation rights, and those rights apply where they do.
OFFSET provides Care on yo-yos that OFFSET makes and sells. Care does not cover theft or loss and does not pay cash based on the value of accidental damage.
23. Singapore customers
These Terms do not remove any consumer right that cannot legally be excluded under Singapore law.
OFFSET Care provides repair, replacement and bearing replacement services for the covered yo-yo. It does not cover theft or loss and does not pay cash based on the value of accidental damage.
If Singapore law requires part of the service to be provided differently, the law applies.
24. Other terms
24.1 Contact
OFFSET YOYO PTY LTD · ABN 33 654 989 901 · New South Wales, Australia · admin@offsetyoyo.com.
24.2 Governing law
Where permitted, New South Wales law applies to these Terms. This does not remove mandatory consumer rights that apply where you live.
24.3 Future changes
OFFSET may change Care pricing or Terms for future purchases. Existing Care plans keep the Care period, replacement fee and service limits saved with the order unless the law requires a change or the change is more favourable to the customer.
24.4 If one part cannot be enforced
If one part of these Terms cannot be enforced, the rest continues to apply where permitted by law.
24.5 Which document applies
Your Care order confirmation and these Terms make up the Care agreement. The main OFFSET Care page is a shorter explanation. If the two differ, these Terms apply, subject to mandatory consumer law.
